Former DI-Maute Member Arrested in Kidapawan City

Kidapawan City – On September 9, 2025, personnel from 85SAC, RDB and 43SAC, 4SAB of this Unit conducted a counterterrorism operation in coordination with Kidapawan City Police Station, North Cotabato Police Provincial Office, and Directorate for Intelligence – Mindanao Area Police Intelligence Office (DI-MAPIO) that resulted in the arrest of a.k.a. Jaggy, a former member of DI-Maute Group under Abu Dar in Brgy. Poblacion, Kidapawan City, North Cotabato.

The operation was carried out by virtue of multiple Warrant of Arrest with Criminal Case Nos. 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, and 1962 for Serious Illegal Detention with Murder, Kidnapping, and Serious Illegal Detention, all issued by RTC, Branch 266, National Capital Judicial Region, Taguig City and all dated September 27, 2021. He was also identified as a former member of the DI-Maute Group involved in numerous criminal and terrorist acts in the province of Lanao del Norte in 2016 and Marawi Siege in 2017.

Kidapawan CPS, North Cotabato PPO took custody of the arrested person for documentation and proper disposition.

This successful operation reflects the unwavering commitment of the PNP to strengthen its campaign against terrorism, uphold the rule of law, and ensure the safety and security of our communities through steadfast coordination with other law enforcement agencies and the public.
