Mayor Ross Rizal Works From Home Despite Doctor’s Advice to Rest

Calamba City Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal showed his unwavering commitment to public service as he continued fulfilling his duties from home despite his doctor’s recommendation to take a full rest due to overfatigue.

On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, Mayor Rizal remained active in various city programs and official functions while working remotely.

In the morning, the Mayor extended his support as a principal sponsor in the Kasalang Bayan at Brgy. Banlic where 11 couples were wed, represented by EA June Montano. His office also ensured Calamba’s participation in the meeting called by the Office of the Governor to discuss DENR-related issues at the Provincial Administrator’s Conference Hall.

At mid-morning, the distribution of financial assistance to 300 beneficiaries pushed through at the MOPAC Ground Floor, while Auditor Becca met with local officials at the Jose Rizal Coliseum.

In the afternoon, Mayor Rizal, represented by EA Roy Ramos, delivered an inspirational message at the 2025 Division Service Awards Ceremony organized by SDO Calamba City. Around the same time, EA June Montano oversaw the allowance distribution for BPSO, Lupon, and VAWC members at the Coliseum.

The day ended with Calamba’s participation in the celebration of the National Day and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Korea at the Grand Hyatt Manila, Taguig City, where COS Gen. Jospicio Jaurigue represented the Mayor.

Despite his doctor’s advice to rest, Mayor Ross Rizal continues to prioritize his duties and ensure uninterrupted delivery of programs and services for Calambeños — a testament to his steadfast leadership and dedication.
