Mayor Ross Rizal Leads “Alay Lakad 2025”: A Million Steps for the Youth’s Future

The City of Calamba, under the leadership of Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal, united in a powerful display of bayanihan and compassion during the successful Alay Lakad 2025, a citywide movement dedicated to advancing education, opportunities, and the bright future of Calambeño youth.

Carrying the theme “Walk the Talk!”, the event gathered thousands of participants from the local government, schools, civic organizations, and various community groups, all walking with purpose and solidarity for a shared cause.

“Sama-sama nating ipakita ang diwa ng bayanihan at malasakit sa Alay Lakad 2025! Isang makabuluhang lakad para sa kabataan—para sa kanilang edukasyon, oportunidad, at magandang kinabukasan,” said Mayor Ross Rizal, reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to the city’s youth empowerment and educational development.

Also present was Vice Mayor Atty. Totie Lazaro, who highlighted the deeper essence of the movement.

“Hindi lang ‘to basta lakad — ito ay panawagan at kilusan para sa kabataang Calambeño! Sa bawat hakbang, may paninindigan. Sa bawat pagod, may layunin. At sa bawat ‘lakad,’ may direksyon tungo sa pagbabago,” Lazaro expressed.

Adding inspiration to the event, Congresswoman Cha Hernandez-Alcantara greeted participants with heartfelt words of encouragement.

“Isang good morning sa buong Calamba at sa lahat ng nakiisa sa Alay Lakad 2025! Nakakatuwang makita ang napakaraming Calambeño na sama-sama at nagkakaisa tungo sa isang direksyon, para sa kapakanan ng ating mga kabataan! Lagi nating alalahanin, kapag umaangat ang edukasyon at umaangat ang kabataan, aangat din ang ating distrito at ang buong bansa!”

The Alay Lakad 2025 successfully raised nearly one million pesos, which will be used to support educational scholarships and youth development initiatives in Calamba City.

Through this meaningful walk, the City of Calamba once again proved that “SerBISEyong Totoo” goes beyond words—it is action, compassion, and collective purpose for the future of the youth.

“Walk the talk tayo — dahil ang SerBISEyong Totoo, hindi lang salita, kundi pagkilos!”
