QUEZON — Dalawang magkapatid na bata ang nilamon ng apoy sa naganap na sunog sa kanilang bahay sa may Purok 5, Barangay Dalahican, Lucena City.
Agad namang dumating at nagresponde ang Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) Lucena City at tumulong na din ang ilang mga residente sa lugar sa pagapula ng apoy.
Ayon sa pulisya, ang mga biktima ay isang taong gulang na batang lalaki at ang kapatid nitong 2 taong gulang na lalaki rin.
Base pa rin sa report ng Lucena City Component Police Station, nagsimula ang sunog dakong alas 10:00 ng gabi sa bahay ng tiyahin ng mga bata ilang minuto ang lumipas bago tuluyang naapula ang apoy ng mga bumbero.
Sa imbestigasyon napag-alaman na gumagamit ang pamilya ng improvised lamp bilang ilaw sa bahay at naiwan itong nakasindi habang natutulog ang mga bata.
Sunog at patay na ang isang bata ng natagpuan sa loob ng bahay, habang ang isa ay naisugod pa sa Quezon Medical Center subalit idineklarang dead on arrival dahil sa mga sugat at lapnos dulot ng apoy at suffocation sa usok.
Tinatayang umabot sa 150,000 pesos ang halaga ng pinsala sa insidente.
