Calamba City Opens December with Inspiring Flag Ceremony Led by Mayor Ross Rizal

Calamba City welcomed the first Monday and first day of December with a meaningful and unifying flag ceremony led by Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal, bringing together more than 4,000 government employees and public servants.

Mayor Ross Rizal emphasized the significance of starting the month with renewed dedication and collective purpose.
“Isang makabuluhang simula ng buwan ang ating pinagsaluhan ngayong unang Lunes at unang araw ng Disyembre kasama ang mahigit 4,000+ kawani at kapwa lingkod-bayan. Sama-sama nating itinataas ang watawat bilang paalala na ang bawat araw ay panibagong pagkakataon upang maglingkod nang tapat at may malasakit,” he said.

During the ceremony, the City Government of Calamba proudly presented the awards and recognitions it recently received—symbols of teamwork, commitment, and unity across the administration. Mayor Ross Rizal highlighted that these achievements are not solely government victories, but triumphs of every Calambeño who continues to inspire the city’s mission of service.

“Sa harap ng lahat, pormal nating ipinakita ang mga awards at recognitions na natanggap ng City Government—mga patunay ng sama-sama nating pagsisikap, dedikasyon, at pagkakaisa. Hindi lamang ito tagumpay ng pamahalaan, kundi tagumpay ng bawat Calambeño,” he added.

As the year draws to a close, the mayor encouraged all employees to carry these accomplishments as reminders of the value of heartfelt public service.
“Kapag may puso sa paglilingkod, may tagumpay na nakakamit. Tuloy-tuloy tayo—para sa bayan, para sa Calamba.”

The ceremony set a hopeful and motivated tone for the month, reinforcing Calamba City’s commitment to excellence and genuine service to the people.
