QUEZON—Nasawi ang isang barangay kagawad matapos masagasaan ng isang bus habang tumatawid sa Maharlika highway sa Barangay Bukal Sur, bayan ng Candelaria.

Kinilala ang biktima na si Nestor Ceria, 65-taong gulang, kasalukuyang barangay councilor at residente ng nasabing barangay.

Base sa report ng Candelaria PNP na pinamumunuan ni PLTCOL Rommel Sobredo nabangga ang biktima ng isang RMB Bus liner na patungo sa direksyon ng Lucena dakong alas-6:30 ng gabi.

Nagtamo ang biktima ng malubhang pinsala sa ibat ibang bahagi ng katawan at agad na isinugod ng MDRRMO-Candelaria sa Peter Paul Hospital subalit idineklara na itong dead on arrival ng doktor.

Kasalukuyang nasa kostudiya ng Candelaria PNP ang driver ng bus na si Gemilo, 66-taong gulang habang patuloy na iniimbestigahan ang insidente para sa kaukulang pagsasampa ng kaso laban sa driver.
