QUEZON—Inaasahang tataas ang trabaho at kabuhayan sa bayan ng Sariaya,matapos inspeksyunin at bisitahin ng lokal na pamahalaan (LGU) ang Fiber Processing Unit dito.
Layunin ng pagbisita ng LGU na pinagunahan ni Sariaya Mayor Marivic Gayeta na suriin ang pasilidad at tukuyin ang mga kagamitan at suportahan para mas mapahusay pa ang operasyon nito.
Ayon sa pamahalaang bayan, ang fiber processing ay hindi lang dagdag-kabuhayan at trabaho kundi bahagi rin ng pangmatagalang kaunlaran sa nasabing bayan.
Unti-unti na ring lumalawak ang produksyon ng fiber products, kabilang ang gawa ng Sariaya Fiber Producers Association o (SAFIPA).
Samantala,kamakailan ay nagpahayag din ang Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority o PhilFIDA na buhayin muli ang dalawang buntal processing centers sa Quezon upang mas palakasin ang kabuhayan ng lokal na komunidad at karagdagang trabaho para sa mga Quezonian.
