Calamba City, Laguna — The City Government of Calamba, under the leadership of Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal, continues to strengthen its commitment to inclusive economic growth as the Kabuhayan ni Rizal: Puhunang Tapat, Serbisyong Ramdam program reached another milestone on January 30, 2026, at the Jose Rizal Coliseum.
A total of 900 new beneficiaries from 54 barangays received livelihood assistance during the payout, bringing the overall number of beneficiaries to 5,000 since the program’s inception. The initiative is designed to provide start-up capital and additional funding to Calambeños who wish to establish small businesses or further develop their existing sources of income.
The program underscores the city government’s principle that public funds must directly benefit the people. Through Kabuhayan ni Rizal, local taxes are transformed into concrete opportunities—empowering families, encouraging entrepreneurship, and fostering self-reliance across communities.
Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal emphasized that livelihood programs like this are vital in building a more resilient local economy, ensuring that progress is felt at the grassroots level. With continued support from the local government, Kabuhayan ni Rizal stands as a symbol of responsive governance, hope, and shared growth toward a more prosperous Calamba.
