Private Citizen Turns Over ₱312K Worth of Marijuana Products to PDEA Laguna

Santa Rosa City, Laguna — Authorities received a significant boost in the fight against illegal drugs after a private citizen voluntarily turned over a large quantity of suspected marijuana products to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Laguna on the evening of January 28, 2026.

According to PDEA Calabarzon, more or less 2.2 kilograms of vacuum-sealed dried marijuana leaves and seeds, with an estimated value of ₱264,000, along with approximately 554.4 grams of suspected marijuana oil worth ₱48,000, were surrendered to the PDEA Laguna Provincial Office. The turnover was conducted in coordination with the PDEA Regional Office IV-A Investigation Section at Barangay Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City, at around 6:53 p.m.

The surrendered items are now set to undergo qualitative and quantitative examinations to confirm their composition and legality, in line with standard operating procedures.

PDEA Calabarzon lauded the courage, cooperation, and sense of responsibility shown by the concerned citizen, emphasizing that public participation plays a vital role in curbing the proliferation of illegal drugs in communities.
