QUEZON — Dalawampu’t apat na tao ang nasugatan matapos tumagilid ang isang pampasaherong bus sa Gumaca Bypass Road sa Barangay Manlayaan,bayan ng Gumaca,bandang alas-9:20 ng gabi nitong Biyernes.

Batay sa imbestigasyon ng pulisya, tinatahak ng P&O Passenger Bus na may sakay na 36 pasahero ang bypass road patungong direksyon ng Bicol nang makaranas umano ito ng mechanical trouble partikular sa preno na nag-lock, dahilan upang mawalan ng kontrol ang driver at nagpagewang-gewang bago tumagilid.

Nasabitan pa nito ang isang kotse na kasabay nitong binabaybay ang kalsada, na tuluyang nahulog sa kanal matapos ang banggaan.

Agarang rumesponde ang mga tauhan ng BFP at MDRRMO/KALASAG Rescue upang dalhin sa iba’t ibang ospital sa Gumaca ang mga sugatang pasahero para sa agarang lunas, habang minor injuries naman ang tinamo ng driver ng kotse na kasalukuyan ding ginagamot.

Ayon sa pulisya, ang naturang pangyayari ay nadagdag sa sunod-sunod na aksidenteng naitatala sa Gumaca Bypass Road, na matagal nang iniuugnay sa mapanganib na kondisyon ng kalsada at sa mataas na bilang ng dumaraang mabibigat na sasakyan sa naturang lugar.
