SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna — The Camp Vicente Lim Press Corps (CVLPC) celebrated its 23rd Anniversary and held its Oath-Taking Ceremony at Centro Events Place, Phase 1C Clubhouse, San Lorenzo South, highlighting its continued commitment to ethical journalism and public service in the region.


Carrying the theme “Makabuluhang Pamamahayag at Wastong Impormasyon: Tungo sa Maunlad na CALABARZON,” the event underscored the vital role of responsible reporting and accurate information in fostering regional development.


The ceremony featured the induction of newly elected CVLPC officers, led by Turibio “Turing” Crisostomo as Chairman of the Board and Daniel Castro as President. They are joined by Joel Cabactulan as Vice President, Josephine Escovidal as Secretary, and Willson Palima as Treasurer. Also taking their oath were Board of Directors and Public Relations Officer Edjun Mariposque, along with Board Member Sheila Javier Florentino.


Honorary members present during the event included Prudencio “Pruds” Garcia, Arlette V. Capistrano, Ferdinand Q. Ledesma, and Paul Arellano. Meanwhile, several distinguished personalities were also expected to take their oath as honorary members, including Wilson Lim Jr., Nico R. Mamon, Marilyn M. Manila, Wilbert “Manoy” T. Lee, Meliza Z. Rivera (represented by Jackie), Cesar V. Areza, Carlos Antonio M. Berba, and PLTCOL Milany Martirez.


The gathering was attended by various stakeholders and partners, including representatives from government and media sectors.

Among those who participated through representatives were Atty. Melissa Tagarda (represented by Miko Morelos), Ruth Baumann, and Regional Director Ma. Cristina Arzadon (represented by Christopher Hedreyda).


The Philippine National Police (PNP), a long-time partner of CVLPC, also showed strong support for the organization. Representing the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A was PLTCOL Jaime Pederio, while PLTCOL Ericson Roranes (DPDO QPPO) and PLTCOL Reynaldo Domelod, Chief PIO of Laguna Police Provincial Office, attended as representatives.


The milestone celebration not only recognized the organization’s achievements over the past two decades but also reaffirmed its mission to uphold integrity, professionalism, and truth in journalism—key pillars in building a more informed and progressive CALABARZON.
