CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The Calamba City Police Station has successfully cleared all backlogged index crimes, reaching what officials describe as a rare and noteworthy milestone for a fast-growing urban center.

PLTCOL Dennis De Guzman, Chief of Police of Calamba, shared the development with a mix of pride and optimism:

“Just as important is the daily grind of our patrollers, whose efforts kept focus crimes low and allowed investigators to concentrate on cold cases.”

Officials acknowledged that maintaining a zero backlog may be challenging given Calamba’s rapid urban growth and increasing population. However, they expressed confidence that the systems and reforms currently in place will sustain low crime rates and faster case resolution moving forward.
