CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — A major step toward inclusive and equitable governance was undertaken under the leadership of Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal, as officials of the Calamba People’s Council participated in a Gender-Responsive Strategic Planning Seminar Workshop held in Monte Vista, Pansol.


Mayor Rizal emphasized the importance of the initiative, highlighting that the Gender-Responsive Strategic Planning Seminar Workshop was conducted for officials of the Calamba People’s Council as a vital effort to strengthen their capacity in crafting programs that genuinely address the needs of every sector of the community.


The workshop focused on strengthening the capability of local leaders to design and implement programs that are sensitive to the diverse needs of the community. By integrating gender-responsive approaches into planning and policymaking, the initiative aims to ensure that government actions are fair, inclusive, and responsive to all sectors—women, men, youth, senior citizens, and other marginalized groups.


Through strategic and inclusive planning, the city government continues to build a framework where policies and projects reflect equity and compassion, reinforcing its commitment to participatory governance.


Mayor Rizal emphasized that these efforts are part of the broader vision to foster a just and inclusive Calamba, where every citizen is heard, valued, and empowered.
