The Canlubang Chemotherapy Center and Canlubang Laboratory and Diagnostic Center were formally inaugurated today at iMall in Calamba, marking another milestone in the expansion of free healthcare services for cancer patients in Laguna.
The newly opened facility is the 10th free chemotherapy center in Laguna established by We Hope Medical Group under the leadership of Dr. John Paul Aclan. Dr. Aclan said the organization now operates a total of 37 free chemotherapy centers across the Philippines, reflecting its continuing commitment to making cancer treatment accessible to underserved patients nationwide.
According to Dr. Aclan, the group aims to establish up to 15 free chemotherapy centers throughout Laguna to further expand access to quality and lifesaving cancer care in the province.
Dr. Aclan also expressed gratitude to Mayor Roseller “Ross” Rizal for supporting the initiative and helping provide cancer patients with access to free chemotherapy services. He said local government officials play a vital role in issuing endorsement letters for patients seeking treatment, although individual patients may also directly visit the center for assistance.
He explained that patients only need to be PhilHealth members and present a valid ID to avail themselves of free chemotherapy and laboratory services. For those who are not yet registered with PhilHealth, the center’s medical staff will assist them with registration so they can immediately receive treatment without paying any fees.
Dr. Aclan likewise thanked Sol Aragones for her full support in advancing healthcare programs for cancer patients and prioritizing public health services in Laguna.
The Canlubang Chemotherapy Center is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing medical and laboratory services to patients requiring cancer care.
