CAMP VICENTE LIM, Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna — Police Regional Office 4A (PRO 4A) has dealt a massive blow against crime in the region following the highly successful second-round implementation of OPLAN Bantay Dangal.


In a press conference held today June 1, 2026 at Camp Vicente Lim, Police Brigadier General Hansel M. Marantan, Regional Director of PRO 4A, unveiled the significant accomplishments of the week-long intensified manhunt operations specifically targeting wanted persons and sexual offenders.


According to data presented by PBGEN Marantan, a total of 111 individuals were arrested during the covered period from 12:01 AM on May 25, 2026, to 4:00 AM on June 1, 2026. The regional police force conducted a total of 82 targeted operations, leading to the apprehension of 80 individuals through warrants or formal arrests, and another 31 via warrantless arrests.


Breakdown of Regional Accomplishments
As detailed in the presentation slide the operational gains span across the various provincial police offices (PPO) and regional units:

Hunting Down the “Most Wanted”
The sweeping operations successfully took a large number of high-profile fugitives off the streets.

Figures from slide highlight that out of the total arrests, 65 individuals were classified as Most Wanted Persons (MWP) at various administrative levels, while 15 fell under other wanted categories.


The breakdown of the arrested Most Wanted Persons includes:
Regional Level: 32 fugitives
Provincial Level: 15 fugitives
Municipal Level: 11 fugitives
City Level: 7 fugitives


Cavite led the region with 19 total arrested MWPs (including 9 at the Regional level), closely followed by Laguna with 15 MWPs.
“No Refuge for Sexual Offenders”
The core objective of the second round of OPLAN Bantay Dangal remains the protection of the community’s most vulnerable sectors.

As outlined on the chart, the successful arrests of individuals charged with rape and other sex-related offenses reflect the relentless commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to secure women and children.
“Through Oplan Bantay Dangal, PRO 4A sends a clear message that sexual offenders have no refuge in the region and will be relentlessly pursued until they are brought before the bar of justice,” PBGEN Marantan emphasized during the briefing.


The command reiterated its adherence to the national agenda: “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas, Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” assuring the public that the regional police will remain unwavering in keeping the streets of CALABARZON safe and crime-free.
