CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The newly organized Calamba Component City Police Station Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (PTD) Advisory Council held its organizational meetings at the Calamba CPIP in Barangay Batino, marking a significant step toward strengthening collaboration between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the local community.

During the first meeting, members agreed to designate Atty. Saturnino Lajara as the interim chairman to lead the newly established advisory body.

The second meeting focused on a presentation outlining the functions, duties, and responsibilities of the PTD Advisory Group, emphasizing its role in supporting the PNP’s transformation agenda through community participation and strategic guidance.

The council also conducted its election of officers. The newly elected officials are scheduled to take their oath of office on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Calamba City Hall.

The newly elected officers are:

Chairperson: Atty. Saturnino Lajara

Vice Chairperson for Internal: Hon. Eduardo Silva

Vice Chairperson for External: Mr. Carlos Po

Secretary: Ms. Nancy Dimaranan

Treasurer: Mr. Nelson Lu

Auditor: Mr. Cessa Areza

The PTD Advisory Council serves as the PNP’s advisory body and external partner in advancing the effective and efficient implementation of the Police Transformation and Development Program. It is tasked with providing strategic guidance to help the PNP achieve its vision while strengthening public trust and improving police services.

As an external partner, the council will offer independent perspectives, technical expertise, and recommendations on key issues affecting the police organization. It will also serve as a bridge to individuals, civic organizations, and other stakeholders that can assist the PNP in addressing emerging challenges, mobilizing resources, and promoting initiatives that contribute to making Calamba City a safer place to live, work, and do business.

The creation of the advisory council highlights the continuing commitment of the Calamba Component City Police Station to foster stronger community engagement and build lasting partnerships in support of peace, public safety, and good governance.
