CALOOCAN CITY — Arestado ang dalawang lalaking umano’y kabilang sa kategoryang High-Value Individual (HVI) sa isinagawang buy-bust operation ng mga awtoridad sa Barracks, San Lorenzo Street, Barangay 185, Caloocan City, bandang alas-1:25 ng hapon noong Agosto 28, 2026.

Kinilala ang mga suspek sa kanilang mga alyas na “Kosa” at “Erick,” na umano’y naaresto matapos magbenta ng isang sachet ng hinihinalang shabu sa isang police poseur-buyer kapalit ng marked money.

Isinagawa ang operasyon ng mga tauhan ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) ng Caloocan City Police Station, sa pangunguna ni PLT Restie F. Mables, hepe ng SDEU, sa ilalim ng direktang superbisyon ni PCOL Joey T. Goforth, OIC ng Caloocan City Police Station. Nakipag-ugnayan din ang mga operatiba sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at gumamit ng Body-Worn Camera (BWC) sa operasyon.

Bukod sa hinihinalang shabu, narekober din mula sa mga suspek ang mga sumusunod:

– Isang (1) malaking plastic sachet na naglalaman umano ng hinihinalang shabu;
– Isang (1) plastic bag na naglalaman umano ng hinihinalang shabu;
– Isang (1) tunay na ₱500 bill at anim (6) na ₱1,000 pekeng o boodle money bills na ginamit bilang buy-bust money;
– Isang (1) itim na sling bag;
– Isang (1) Armscor caliber 9mm pistol na kulay itim, na may serial number 1232231;
– Isang (1) magazine na kulay itim; at
– Dalawang (2) live ammunition.

Tinatayang 42.96 gramo ang kabuuang timbang ng nakumpiskang hinihinalang shabu, na may tinatayang Standard Drug Price (SDP) na ₱292,128.

Dahil dito, mahaharap ang mga suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11, Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165, o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, gayundin sa Section 28 ng Republic Act No. 10591, o Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Ayon sa ulat, ipinaalam sa mga suspek ang kanilang mga karapatan. Gayunman, itinanggi ng mga ito ang alegasyong nagbebenta sila ng ilegal na droga.

Bahagi ang operasyon ng patuloy na pagpapatupad ng Responsive and Dynamic Law Enforcement and Public Safety Services, na nakatuon sa pagpapalakas ng police visibility, mabilis na pagtugon sa mga insidente ng krimen, at pagsasagawa ng mga operasyon laban sa ilegal na droga at iba pang uri ng kriminalidad.

Patuloy din umanong isinusulong ng Caloocan City Police Station at Northern Police District (NPD) ang mga proaktibong hakbang sa pagpapanatili ng seguridad at kaligtasan ng publiko.
