**CALAMBA CITY, Laguna** — More than 2,000 senior citizens in Calamba City have received financial assistance to help cover their medical expenses, including hospitalization, medicines, laboratory tests, and other healthcare needs, under the administration of Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal.

The initiative underscores the city government’s continuing commitment to providing support and care for elderly residents, particularly those who need financial assistance for essential medical services.

Mayor Rizal emphasized the importance of sustaining programs that help ease the financial burden on senior citizens and provide assistance during times of need.

“Patuloy nating inaalalayan ang ating mga minamahal na lolo at lola! Mahigit 2,000 Calambeño Senior Citizens ang nakatanggap ng tulong pinansyal para sa kanilang mga pangangailangan, kabilang ang hospitalization, gamot, laboratory tests, at iba pang gastusing medikal.”

He also highlighted how financial assistance, regardless of the amount, can make a meaningful difference in helping elderly residents meet their daily and medical needs.

“Alam nating malaking tulong ang bawat halagang naibibigay, lalo na sa panahon ng pangangailangan. Kaya naman, patuloy nating isinusulong ang mga programang nagbibigay ng suporta at kalinga sa ating mga nakatatanda.”

The program reflects the Calamba City government’s continuing efforts to promote the welfare of senior citizens by providing assistance that helps address their healthcare needs and ease expenses for them and their families.

Mayor Rizal reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering compassionate public service to every Calambeño.
