Caloocan City, Setyembre 15, 2024 — Naaresto ang dalawang lalaki noong Linggo ng gabi sa Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City matapos maaktuhang nagtataglay ng ipinagbabawal na gamot at lumabag sa ordinansa ng lungsod kaugnay ng pagsuot ng pang-itaas sa pampublikong lugar.
Kinilala ang mga suspek na sina Fredy Pastor y Lamis, 31, at Mheiduard Cortez y Aquino, 26. Ayon sa ulat, nahuli sila sa Barrio Sta. Rita, Brgy. 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
Habang nagpapatrolya ang mga tauhan ng Tala Police Substation 14, napansin nila ang dalawang lalaking walang suot na pang-itaas na nagtatalo sa isang pampublikong lugar. Nang sitahin ng mga awtoridad at ipaliwanag ang nilabag na ordinansa, tumakbo ang mga suspek. Sa kanilang pagtakas, nahulog mula sa kanila ang dalawang plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu, may kabuuang timbang na 3.1 gramo at tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng PHP 21,080.00.
Dahil dito, agad na inaresto ang mga suspek at binasahan ng kanilang mga karapatan. Sila ay inilipat na sa Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon. Nahaharap sila sa mga kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 151 (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority) at Section 11 ng Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
