QUEZON—Sa tulong ng ilang concerned citizen, nadakip ang isang karnaper matapos ang agarang follow-up operation ng HPG Quezon Provincial Highway Patrol Team na pinamumunuan ni PMAJ Jonathan Victor Olveña katuwang ang Lucena City Police sa may bahagi ng Maharlika Highway, Barangay Silangan Mayao, Lucena City noong Enero 4 ng hapon.
Ayon sa report ng PHPT-HPG Quezon naiwan ng biktima ang susi sa loob ng kanyang AUV nang huminto ito sa isang tindahan sa Barangay Kanlurang Mayao upang bumili ng inumin sinamantala ito ng suspek at agad na tinangay ang sasakyan.
Nalaman ang kinaroroonan ng suspek matapos makakuha ng impormasyon mula sa mga concerned citizen kaya naaresto ang suspek habang dala at nakasakay sa kinarnap na sasakyan.
Kasalukuyang nakakulong ang suspek sa Lucena City PNP Lock up jail at nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10883 o ang New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
