CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA — The local government of Calamba City, under the leadership of Mayor Roseller ‘Ross’ H. Rizal, has reinforced its commitment to community safety through the distribution of allowances to members of the Barangay Quick Response Teams (BQRT).


The initiative recognizes the vital role played by barangay frontliners who serve on the frontlines of maintaining peace, order, and emergency response within their respective communities.


In a statement, Mayor Rizal emphasized the importance of acknowledging the dedication of these grassroots responders:
“Patuloy nating kinikilala at pinahahalagahan ang sakripisyo at dedikasyon ng ating mga frontliners sa barangay. Sa pamamagitan ng pamamahagi ng BQRT Allowance, nais nating ipabatid ang ating pasasalamat sa kanilang walang sawang paglilingkod para sa kaligtasan, kaayusan, at kapakanan ng ating komunidad.”


He further highlighted that the financial assistance is more than just support—it is a symbol of the city’s appreciation for their essential service:


“Ang bawat tulong na ating naipagkakaloob ay simbolo ng ating suporta at pagkilala sa kanilang mahalagang papel sa ating bayan. Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang mas ligtas at mas maayos na pamayanan.”


The BQRT allowance distribution forms part of the city government’s broader efforts to empower barangay-level responders and enhance public safety systems, ensuring that communities remain resilient and well-prepared in times of emergencies.
