The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has allocated ₱82.998 billion for the 2026 Year-End Bonus and ₱5,000 Cash Gift of qualified government employees, reminding government agencies to release the benefits together with their personnel’s first November salary.

DBM Acting Secretary Kim Robert C. De Leon emphasized that the two benefits must be paid simultaneously with the first November payroll and should not be delayed or released through a separate payroll.

Under DBM Budget Circular No. 2024-3, dated October 22, 2024, qualified government personnel are entitled to a Year-End Bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary as of October 31, 2026, plus a ₱5,000 Cash Gift.

“Ang Year-End Bonus po ng mga government employees na katumbas ng one month basic salary, kasama ang P5,000 Cash Gift, ay dapat matanggap kasabay ng first salary for November. Na-release na po ng DBM ang pondo para rito, kaya we want to remind our agencies to ensure the timely release of these benefit,” De Leon said.

He added that the benefits would provide additional financial assistance to government workers and their families, particularly as the Christmas season approaches, while recognizing their dedication and service to the Filipino people.

“Alam po natin na malaking tulong ito sa ating mga kawani at kanilang pamilya, especially ngayong papalapit na ang Pasko. More importantly, this is our way of recognizing and thanking our government workers for their hard work, dedication, and continued service to the Filipino people,” he added.

To qualify for the full benefits, employees must have rendered at least four months or 120 days of aggregate government service from January 1 to October 31, 2026, and must still be in government service as of October 31.

The eligibility covers qualified civilian personnel, as well as military and uniformed personnel, including those who served in regular, contractual or casual positions in national and local government agencies. Authorized leaves of absence with pay are also counted as part of the required service.

Of the total ₱82.998-billion allocation, ₱73.449 billion is earmarked for the Year-End Bonus, while ₱9.549 billion is allocated for the ₱5,000 Cash Gift.

The DBM clarified that the funds for both benefits had already been fully released to concerned government agencies at the beginning of Fiscal Year 2026. However, the actual crediting or payment date will depend on each agency’s payroll schedule, provided that the benefits are released together with the first November salary.

The department reiterated that the timely payment of the Year-End Bonus and Cash Gift is required under existing government compensation policies and urged all concerned agencies to comply with the prescribed schedule.
