CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – A 38-year-old construction worker was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Calamba City Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), resulting in the confiscation of suspected shabu worth approximately ₱1,451,121.
The operation was carried out under PDEA Coordination Control No. 4-00-11032026-021, during which the suspect was allegedly caught in the act of selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
The arrested individual is a 38-year-old single male construction worker and a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna.
During the operation, police officers also recovered eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with an estimated combined weight of 115.9 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱788,121.
Another transparent plastic containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 97.5 grams and valued at ₱663,000 based on SDP, was also confiscated.
Authorities reported that the total seized suspected illegal drugs weighed approximately 213.4 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱1,451,121.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Calamba City Police Station for documentation and further investigation, as authorities prepare the appropriate charges in accordance with existing laws.
The Calamba City Police Station reiterated its commitment to intensifying its anti-illegal drug campaign and maintaining peace and order throughout the community.
