Top 4 Provincial Most Wanted Nabbed in Calamba City Police Operation

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — Police authorities arrested Benjie Canete Andrino, the No. 4 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level, in a successful manhunt operation conducted by the Tracker Team of the Calamba City Component Police Station (CCPS) on Tuesday afternoon, January 20, 2026, in Barangay Makiling, Calamba City.

The suspect was apprehended at around 4:54 p.m. by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued on January 19, 2026 by Hon. Alvin Bugayong Tanguanco, Presiding Judge of the Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 8, Calamba City.
Authorities identified the accused as Benjie Canete Andrino, male, 43 years old, born on June 9, 1982, married, a helper by occupation, and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Makiling, Calamba City, Laguna. He is listed under Target Intelligence Packet (TIP) Control No. G_2026-08-4A-LPPO–Calamba CCPS.

According to police, Andrino is facing six counts of Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, as amended by RA 11648, filed under Criminal Case Nos. 47574 to 47575-2026-C and 47583 to 47586-2026-C, with a recommended bail of ₱180,000 for each count.
He is also charged with Violation of Section 10(A) in relation to Section 3(b)(2) of RA 7610, under Criminal Case No. 47587-2026-C, with a recommended bail of ₱200,000.
The arrest operation was properly documented using an alternative recording device, in compliance with existing police operational procedures.

After his arrest, Andrino was informed of his constitutional rights and given the Anti-Torture Warning. He is currently under the custody of Calamba CCPS, while the Return of Warrant of Arrest is being prepared for submission to the issuing court. An Initial Report (IR) has also been forwarded to the Police Intelligence Unit (PIU).

The operation was conducted under the supervision of PLTCOL Dennis C. De Guzman, Officer-in-Charge of Calamba CCPS.

Police officials said the arrest marks another significant step in the intensified campaign against wanted persons in Laguna, particularly those accused of crimes against children.
