PILILLA, RIZAL — A civilian helicopter crashed in Upper Barak, Quisao, Pililla early this morning, prompting an immediate multi-agency response led by the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO).
Police Colonel Eleazar R. Barber Jr., Provincial Director of the Rizal PPO, personally proceeded to the crash site to oversee operations and ensure swift action from responding units, including local police officers, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and emergency responders.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:27 a.m. Authorities confirmed that the aircraft was a civilian helicopter carrying five individuals at the time of the crash. All five passengers were immediately rescued and transported to Rizal Provincial Hospital for proper medical treatment.
Initial reports indicate that emergency personnel acted quickly to secure the area and provide assistance to the victims. The current condition of the passengers has not yet been officially disclosed.
The Rizal PPO is continuing coordination with concerned agencies to determine the cause of the crash and to ensure public safety in the surrounding area.
Authorities said further information will be released once the official investigation results become available.
