Despite the holiday, public service remained in full swing as Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal led the blessing and inauguration of the Phase 1 school building and the unveiling of Phase 2 at Uwisan Elementary School last February 25, 2026.


The newly completed Phase 1 structure, named “Gusaling Rizal,” marks a significant milestone in the city’s continuing investment in education infrastructure. The simultaneous unveiling of Phase 2 signals the local government’s commitment to further expanding and improving learning facilities for students.


In his message, Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal emphasized the importance of uninterrupted service, especially when it comes to education.
“Kahit holiday, tuluy-tuloy ang ating trabaho at paglilingkod. Nakiisa tayo sa Blessing at Inauguration ng Phase 1 school building na “Gusaling Rizal” at unveiling ng Phase 2 sa Uwisan Elementary School.”


The initiative represents a step toward providing a more conducive and comfortable learning environment for young learners.

Local officials, school administrators, teachers, and community members joined the ceremony, underscoring the collective effort behind the project.


City officials highlighted that investing in school infrastructure is an investment in the future of the community. The upgraded facilities are expected to help ease classroom congestion and enhance the overall learning experience of students.


The event reinforced the administration’s message that when it comes to education and the future of the city’s youth, there are no holidays—only continued commitment and service.
