LAGUNA, Philippines — The Provincial Government of Laguna reaffirmed its strong commitment to accessible and inclusive education as hundreds of student-beneficiaries convened at the Laguna Sports Complex for the “Iskolar ng Laguna” Orientation Program.

The large-scale gathering brought together scholars from various cities and municipalities across the province, marking another milestone in the sustained rollout of the Iskolar ng Laguna Program under the leadership of Sol Aragones. The initiative continues to expand educational opportunities for deserving youth, particularly those from underserved communities.


The program is spearheaded by Carina Macalos, who serves as Provincial Assistant Administrator and Program Head. She oversees the effective implementation and coordination of scholarship services, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the support needed to pursue their academic goals.


During the orientation, Doland Castro—a veteran journalist and spokesperson of the governor—delivered an प्रेरational message to the scholars. He urged students to remain steadfast in their studies and to view education as a powerful tool for transforming not only their own lives but also the future of their families and communities.


The event underscored the provincial government’s broader education agenda, reinforcing its mission to invest in human capital development and empower the next generation of leaders in Laguna.
