TWO INDIVIDUALS FOUND DEAD ALONG LOPEZ DIVERSION ROAD

A man and a woman were found dead along Lopez Diversion Road in the town of Lopez, Quezon, on Friday morning.

Residents discovered the victims lying on the grassy roadside at around 8:00 a.m.

According to initial police investigation, both victims sustained gunshot wounds from a firearm of still undetermined caliber.
The local government of Lopez confirmed the incident and immediately issued a statement to prevent public alarm.

Based on an initial report from the Lopez Municipal Police Station, the victims were not residents of the town. Authorities said the two had come from another area and were reportedly in Lopez for a land-related transaction.

Police are still determining the relationship between the two victims.
The suspects fled the scene following the incident.

Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to identify and hold those responsible accountable.
The local government assured the public of continued coordination with law enforcement to maintain peace and order in the area.
