In a joint operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on June 26, 2024, two high-value targets were apprehended for their involvement in drug trafficking. The suspects, Rasol Dimaporo alias Amir (44 years old, married) and Noroden Sarip alias Alonto (22 years old, married), were caught selling approximately 300 grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with an estimated street value of Php2,070,000. The successful buy-bust operation took place in Barangay 79, Pasay City, at 6:35 PM.

Operatives from PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 1 and PDEA National Capital Region collaborated to arrest the suspects. Both individuals reside in Pasay City.

The suspects will face charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This law aims to combat illegal drug activities and ensure the safety of communities across the Philippines.

The arrest of Dimaporo and Sarip underscores the continuous efforts of PDEA to combat the illegal drug trade in the country. The agency has been actively pursuing drug personalities, particularly high-value targets, to dismantle drug networks and reduce the supply of illegal drugs in communities.

The PDEA has reiterated its call for public cooperation in the fight against illegal drugs, urging citizens to report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.

As the investigation continues, the PDEA assures the public that it will remain steadfast in its mission to eradicate illegal drugs and ensure a safer environment for all Filipinos. The agency’s commitment to upholding the law and protecting the community from the dangers of illegal drugs remains unwavering.

The successful operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies in curbing drug-related crimes and protecting citizens from the harmful effects of narcotics.
