Cagayan – On January 15, 2026, personnel from 11SAB of this Unit provided tactical support to Alcala MPS, Cagayan PPO and other PNP units in a joint operation that resulted in the arrest of a.k.a. Cabanada in Brgy. Piggatan, Alcala, Cagayan.
The operation was conducted by virtue of Search Warrant No. 07-2026 for violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), dated January 15, 2026 issued by RTC, Branch 5, 2nd Judicial Region, Tuguegarao City. Seized items were one caliber 7.62 M1 garand rifle with 37 rounds of ammunition; one improvised caliber .22 rifle with 41 rounds of ammunition; one improvised boga; and four rounds of caliber .38 ammunition.
Alcala MPS, Cagayan PPO took custody of the arrested person and seized items for documentation and proper disposition.
The successful operation highlights the strong inter-agency coordination and the steadfast commitment of the PNP to enforcing the law, curbing the proliferation of loose firearms, and ensuring public safety and security.
