QUEZON—Patay ang dalawang senior high school student sa isang vehicular accident sa may bahagi ng Maharlika Highway, Barangay Bocohan, Lucena City, dakong alas-3:30 ng madaling araw nitong Linggo, January 18, 2026.
Base sa imbestigasyon ng Lucena PNP, isang trailer truck ang nasa unahan at kakaliwa sana patungong Eco-Tourism Road nang salpukin ng isang kotse ang likurang bahagi nito. Dahil sa lakas ng banggaan, wasak ang kotse at naipit ang dalawang lalaking kabataan.
Agad naman rumesponde ang mga rescuer at nagsagawa ng extrication procedure upang makuha ang mga biktima. Dinala pa ang mga ito sa ospital subalit idineklara nang dead on arrival.
Nakakulong na ang driver ng trailer truck at nahaharap sa kasong reckless imprudence resulting in double homicide and damage to property.
Patuloy ang imbestigasyon ng mga awtoridad sa naturang insidente.
