A new and more accessible National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance Center has officially opened at SM Center San Pedro, strengthening efforts to bring essential government services closer to the people.


Leading the inauguration ceremony were Melvin Alvarez Matibag, Representative Maria Rene Ann Matibag, and Sheriliz Niña B. Almoro, alongside officials from SM Supermalls and members of the San Pedro City Council.


Among the SM officials present during the opening were Engr. Junias M. Eusebio, Mall Operations Vice President; Royston A. Cabunag, Assistant Vice President for MSME, Job Fairs & Government Services; and Aurea Angelica P. Toreja, Assistant Vice President for Operations.


The newly inaugurated NBI Clearance Center aims to provide a more convenient and efficient location for residents to process NBI clearances and other related services. The facility is expected to benefit professionals, jobseekers, students, and families who regularly require NBI documents for employment, education, travel, and various transactions.


Officials highlighted that the initiative reflects the continuing commitment of both the government and the private sector to improve public access to essential services while reducing travel time and congestion in traditional processing centers.


Through its “All For You” commitment, SM Supermalls continues to expand community-centered services by transforming its malls into accessible hubs for government transactions and public assistance programs.
