Isang bagong tukoy na High-Value Individual (HVI) ang naaresto ng mga operatiba ng Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) sa isinagawang buy-bust operation sa Barangay Bignay, Valenzuela City noong Hulyo 10, 2026.

Ang operasyon ay ikinasa ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PCOL Joseph G. Talento, Chief of Police ng VCPS. Kinilala ang suspek sa alyas na “Ping,” 53 taong gulang, na nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11, Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Nasamsam mula sa suspek ang tinatayang 50 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may Standard Drug Price (SDP) na ₱340,000, buy-bust money, karagdagang salapi, mga drug paraphernalia, isang coin purse, at isang Honda Wave na motorsiklo na pinaniniwalaang ginamit sa ilegal na aktibidad.

Isinagawa ang operasyon sa koordinasyon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at idinokumento sa pamamagitan ng Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) upang matiyak ang transparency at pagsunod sa itinakdang operational procedures.

Matapos ang kanyang pagkakaaresto, binasahan ang suspek ng kanyang mga karapatan. Itinanggi naman nito ang paratang na siya ay nagbebenta ng ilegal na droga at nagpasyang manahimik habang isinasailalim sa inquest proceedings ang kasong isinampa laban sa kanya.

Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng VCPS ang suspek habang inihahanda ang pormal na pagsasampa ng kaukulang kaso.

Samantala, patuloy namang pinaigting ng Northern Police District (NPD) sa pamumuno ni PBGEN Benliner L. Capili, Acting District Director, ang kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapatupad ng batas sa Metro Manila.
