PDEA Rizal Scores in Binangonan Buy-Bust, Seizes ₱1.5M Worth of Kush

BINANGONAN, RIZAL — Two individuals were arrested after the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Rizal Provincial Office, in coordination with the PNP Regional Intelligence Unit 4A–Provincial Intelligence Team (RIU4A-PIT), seized approximately ₱1.5 million worth of suspected high-grade marijuana, locally known as “Kush,” during a buy-bust operation in Binangonan, Rizal.

The operation was conducted at around 6:20 p.m. on August 22, 2026, in Barangay San Carlos, resulting in the arrest of alias “Karl,” 33, and alias “Rhea,” 32, both residents of the same barangay.

Authorities confiscated more or less one kilogram of suspected high-grade marijuana or “Kush,” with an estimated standard value of ₱1,500,000.

Also seized during the operation were suspected marijuana resin, vape canisters, a digital weighing scale, rolling papers, a grinder, cellular phones, and other items believed to have been used in the suspects’ alleged illegal drug activities.

The suspects are facing charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Authorities are preparing the appropriate cases for filing before the court.

The successful operation highlights the continuing efforts of PDEA Rizal and its law enforcement partners to curb the distribution of illegal drugs in Rizal province.
