CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — Pandemic Hero Nancy Dimaranan lauded the administration of Roseller ‘Ross’ H. Rizal for its continuing commitment to youth healthcare through the city’s Project YUGTO or “Youth in a Unified and Guided Tuli Operation,” a free community circumcision program benefiting young Calambeños during the summer break.


Dimaranan described the initiative as a meaningful and compassionate public service program that directly helps families struggling with medical expenses.


“Saludo kami kay Mayor Ross Rizal sa napakagandang programa para sa mga batang Calambeño!” she said, emphasizing how the project provides free circumcision procedures, doctors, medicines, and organized healthcare services for the youth.


She recalled how circumcision traditions in the past were far more difficult and less sanitary.


“Noon, tuwing Sabado de Gloria lang hinihintay ng mga bata ang panahon ng pagtutuli — tatalon pa sa ilog at ngunguya ng dahon ng bayabas. Pero ngayon, dahil sa makabagong panahon at malasakit ng ating lokal na pamahalaan, mas naging ligtas, malinis, organisado, at accessible na ang libreng tuli para sa ating mga kabataan habang bakasyon,” Dimaranan shared.


According to her, the initiative is a major relief for low-income families and proof that compassionate governance can genuinely be felt by ordinary citizens.


“Napakalaking tulong nito lalo na sa mga pamilyang hirap sa gastusin. Patunay lamang na ang serbisyong may malasakit ay hindi lang salita — kundi totoong nararamdaman ng tao,” she added.


Dimaranan also extended her gratitude to the Calamba City Government and Mayor Rizal for continuously delivering programs centered on dignity, healthcare, and public service for children.
She likewise acknowledged the support of Jhoined Mac Demesa and other barangay leaders coordinating closely with the Mayor’s Office to bring the program closer to communities.


“Inaanyayahan din po ang iba pang barangay na makipag-ugnayan sa Mayor’s Office para sa Operation Tuli Program upang mas marami pang kabataan ang makinabang sa libreng serbisyong pangkalusugan,” she said.


Meanwhile, Mayor Rizal celebrated the successful implementation of Project YUGTO and commended the bravery of participating children.
“Libreng Tuli, Libreng Ngiti! Kasama ang Project YUGTO (Youth in a Unified and Guided Tuli Operation),” Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal said.


“May kaba man, may konting iyak man, ang mahalaga — tapos ang misyon! Matagumpay nating naisagawa ang Programang Libreng Tuli para sa ating mga munting bayani. Isang hakbang tungo sa mas maayos na kalusugan at dagdag-ngiti para sa bawat pamilyang Calambeño. Saludo sa lahat ng matapang na sumabak ngayon!” he added.


Project YUGTO continues to strengthen the city government’s preventive healthcare efforts while ensuring that free and accessible medical services reach more communities across Calamba City.
