QUEZON — Pitong sangkot sa ilegal na droga ang naaresto sa limang magkakahiwalay na operasyon ng Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) noong Hunyo 11 at 12, 2026, kung saan mahigit 11 gramo ng shabu ang nasabat.
Naaresto ng General Nakar Municipal Police Station ang dalawang suspek sa isinagawang buy-bust operation sa may Brgy. Magsikap, bayan ng General Nakar nakumpiska mula sa kanila ang limang sachet ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang timbang na humigit-kumulang 0.72 gramo at tinatayang Standard Drug Price (SDP) na 4,896.00 pesos kasama ang buy-bust money at iba pang drug paraphernalia.
Sa bayan ng Mauban naman, isang SLI ang naaresto sa isang buy-bust operation sa Sitio 6, Brgy. Sadsaran, Mauban narekober mula sa suspek ang tinatayang 1.5 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may halagang10,200.00 pesos at isang kalibre .357 revolver na walang serial number at kaukulang papel kasama ang tatlong bala bukod sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165, haharap din ang suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10591 o Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Samantala, isang street level individual ang naaresto ng Tiaong Municipal Police Station sa isinagawang buy-bust operation sa Brgy. Lusacan nakumpiska mula sa suspek ang mga sachet ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang timbang na 5.76 gramo at tinatayang street value na 117,504.00 pesos
Sa Lucena City, dalawang street-level individuals ang nadakip sa isang anti-illegal drug operation sa may Brgy. Mayao Crossing narekober mula sa mga suspek ang humigit-kumulang 3.5 gramo ng shabu na may tinatayang street value na 71,400.00 pesos kasama na ang buy-bust money na ginamit ng mga pulis sa operasyon.
Bukod dito,isang search warrant operation ang matagumpay na naisagawa ng Burdeos Municipal Police Station sa may Brgy. Amot na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng isang suspek at pagkakasamsam ng tatlong sachet ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang timbang na 0.15 gramo at tinatayang street value na 3,600.00 pesos.
Nahaharap ang mga naarestong suspek sa mga kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11, Article II ng Republic Act 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. habang ang mga nakumpiskang iligal na droga ay isasailalim sa laboratory examination ng Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit habang inihahanda ang pagsasampa ng kaukulang kaso laban sa mga suspek.
Pinuri ni PCOL ROMULO A ALBACEA, Provincial Director ng Quezon PPO, ang mga operating units sa kanilang matagumpay na operasyon at muling iginiit ang matatag na kampanya ng kapulisan laban sa ilegal na droga.
Nanawagan si PCOL Albacea sa publiko na patuloy na makiisa at magsumbong ng anumang ilegal na gawain upang sama-samang mapanatiling ligtas at payapa ang buing lalawigan ng Quezon.
