CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The City Government of Calamba officially opened the 3rd MSME Summit at the Jose Rizal Coliseum as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the city’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), providing local entrepreneurs with greater opportunities to grow their businesses and contribute to the local economy.

The summit gathered business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, industry experts, and government partners for a day of learning, networking, and knowledge-sharing aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of Calamba’s MSME sector.

Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal emphasized that supporting local businesses remains one of the city’s key priorities under his administration, with the backing of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

“Isa sa mga prayoridad na programa ng ating pamahalaan sa pangunguna ni Mayor Ross Rizal, katuwang ang Sangguniang Panlungsod, ang patuloy na pagpapalakas sa sektor ng Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).”

The mayor also highlighted that the annual summit serves as a valuable platform for entrepreneurs to gain new knowledge, establish meaningful business connections, and expand their enterprises.

“Sa pamamagitan ng 3rd MSME Summit, mas binibigyan natin ng pagkakataon ang ating mga lokal na negosyante na matuto, makabuo ng mga bagong koneksyon, at mapalago pa ang kanilang mga kabuhayan.”

The City Government reaffirmed its commitment to creating more programs and initiatives that will generate economic opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship, and further boost Calamba’s thriving local economy.

“Patuloy nating isusulong ang mga programang magbibigay ng mas maraming oportunidad at magpapalakas sa lokal na ekonomiya ng Lungsod ng Calamba.”

The 3rd MSME Summit reflects Calamba City’s continued commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs, recognizing MSMEs as a vital driver of employment, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
