MALABON CITY — Arestado ang isang 36-anyos na walang trabaho matapos umanong magbanta at manakit ng isang babae habang may dalang baril sa Barangay Catmon, Malabon City, bandang alas-12:10 ng tanghali noong Agosto 15, 2026.
Ayon sa Malabon City Police Station, nagsasagawa ng foot patrol ang mga tauhan ng Station 4 nang lapitan sila ng isang saksi at ireport ang isang lalaking armado at nagbabanta umano sa isang babae.
Agad na rumesponde ang mga pulis at namataan ang suspek na may hawak na baril habang umano’y nagbabanta sa biktima. Kaagad itong inaresto ng mga awtoridad.
Narekober mula sa suspek ang isang baril na pinaghihinalaang replica firearm. Isinailalim ito sa kustodiya ng pulisya para sa kaukulang pagsusuri at disposisyon.
Nahaharap ang suspek sa kasong Grave Threats sa ilalim ng Article 282 ng Revised Penal Code at paglabag sa Republic Act No. 10591, o Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition, alinsunod sa resulta ng imbestigasyon at pagsusuri sa nakuhang baril.
Bahagi ang operasyon ng patuloy na pagpapatupad ng unang haligi ng Northern Police District (NPD) na Responsive and Dynamic Law Enforcement and Public Safety Services, na nakatuon sa pagpapalakas ng police visibility, mabilis na pagtugon sa mga insidente, at tuloy-tuloy na operasyon laban sa kriminalidad.
Isinusulong din ng NPD ang mga proaktibong hakbang para sa public safety at community-oriented policing upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan at matiyak ang mabilis, mahusay, at maaasahang serbisyo-pulisya sa mga komunidad.
