More than 1,000 senior citizens in  received medical financial assistance from the city government as part of its continuing effort to provide direct support and improve the welfare of elderly residents.

The distribution of medical assistance reflects the local government’s commitment to ensuring that public funds are transformed into programs and services that create meaningful benefits for the community, particularly for sectors requiring additional care and support.

emphasized that the initiative demonstrates the city’s dedication to returning the benefits of taxpayers’ contributions directly to the people.

“Patuloy nating ibinabalik sa mamamayan ang bunga ng kanilang buwis sa pamamagitan ng mga programang may direktang pakinabang sa kanilang buhay. Ngayong araw, matagumpay nating naipamahagi ang financial assistance pang medikal para sa ating mga senior citizens bilang pagkilala sa kanilang mahalagang ambag sa ating lipunan at bilang bahagi ng ating layunin na mabigyan sila ng dagdag na suporta sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan,” Mayor Rizal said.

The city chief also stressed that every public fund utilized by the local government carries a clear purpose aimed at helping residents through programs and services that address their needs.

“Ang bawat pondong ginagamit ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Calamba ay may malinaw na layunin—maibalik sa ating mga kababayan sa pamamagitan ng mga proyekto, programa, at serbisyong tunay na nakatutulong.”

Mayor Rizal further reiterated the city’s commitment to responsive governance and people-centered public service.

“Sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Calamba, ang buwis ng mamamayan ay ibinabalik sa mamamayan sa anyo ng serbisyong may malasakit at may tunay na epekto sa buhay ng bawat Calambeño.”

The medical assistance program forms part of the city’s broader efforts to strengthen social support systems and ensure that senior citizens continue receiving the care and recognition they deserve for their contributions to the community.
