Isang babaeng itinuturing na High-Value Target (HVT) sa ilegal na droga ang naaresto ng mga operatiba ng District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) ng Northern Police District (NPD) sa isinagawang buy-bust operation noong Hulyo 4, 2026 sa loob ng isang bahay sa Purok 7, Sitio 4, Area D, Barangay 178, Camarin, Caloocan City.

Ayon sa ulat, pinangunahan ang operasyon ni PMSG Raul Quimbo sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PMAJ Segundino Bulan Jr., at sa direktang superbisyon ni PBGEN Beliner L. Capili, Assistant District Director ng NPD.

Sa operasyon, isang pulis ang nagpanggap na poseur-buyer na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ni Joseliza Brillantes y Nemo, alyas “Liza.” Samantala, ang kaniyang kasamahan na si Kenneth Brillantes y Nemo, alyas “Kenneth,” ay nakatakas at patuloy na pinaghahanap ng mga awtoridad.

Nakumpiska mula sa operasyon ang sumusunod:

Isang tunay na ₱500 bill at boodle money na ginamit bilang buy-bust money;

Tatlong heat-sealed plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu; at

Isang heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang timbang na 6 gramo at tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng ₱40,800.


Matapos ang pag-aresto, ipinaalam sa suspek ang kanyang mga karapatan alinsunod sa batas. Nahaharap siya sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 11 at 26, Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Itinanggi naman ng suspek ang paratang na siya ay sangkot sa pagbebenta ng ilegal na droga.

Ayon sa NPD, ang matagumpay na operasyon ay bahagi ng pinaigting na kampanya ng pulisya laban sa ilegal na droga at nagpapatunay ng kanilang patuloy na pagsisikap na mapanatili ang kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaligtasan ng publiko.
