Kampo Heneral Miguel C Malvar – Isang lalaki ang inaresto ng kapulisan ng Rosario Municipal Police Station matapos nitong saksakin ang kanyang tiyuhin pagkatapos ng kanilang inuman. Ayon sa ulat ni PCOL PEDRO D SOLIBA, Provincial Director, Batangas PPO, kay PBGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, Regional Director, PRO CALABARZON, matagumpay na napasakamay ng himpilan ng kapulisan ng Rosario ang suspek na kinilala bilang si Rodney Gruta y Capanay, 28 taong gulang, at kasalukuyang naninirahan sa Barangay Marilag, Rosario. Batangas.
Bandang 2:45 ng madaling araw ng April 1, 2023 ay nakatanggap ng ulat mula sa MVM Hospital sa Barangay Namunga, Rosario, Batangas ang hotline ng Rosario MPS na isang lalaking nagngangalang Efren Gruta y Lesanggan, 56 taong gulang, tubong Sorsogon, at kasalukuyang naninirahan sa Barangay Marilag, Rosario ang kanilang ginagamot matapos magtamo ng saksak sa iba’t ibang parte ng katawan.
Agad na nagtungo ang mga imbestigador sa ospital na nabanggit upang beripikahin ang ulat. Lumabas sa imbestigasyon na sinamahan ng biktima na si Efren ang isa niyang kasamahan sa inuman pauwi ng kanilang bahay nang sila ay sundan ng suspek na si Rodney at pinagsasakasak ang bikitma na kanya ring tiyuhin. Nagtamo ng pitong stab wounds si Efren at kasalukuyang nasa Batangas Medical Center para sa patuloy na gamutan.
Samantala, matagumpay na naaresto ang suspek sa isinagawang follow up operations noong araw ding iyon. Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Rosario MPS ang suspek para sa kaukulang disposisyon.
