Division, Philippine Coast Guard, and Philippine National Police affirmed to strengthen joint efforts against security threats in the CALABARZON region as top military and law enforcement officials convene for the 2nd Quarter Meeting of the CALABARZON
Regional Peace and Security Coordinating Center on Monday, July 3, 2023.

The CALABARZON RJPSCC is a joint undertaking of the Armed Forces of the
Philippines through JTFK with the Police Regional Office 4A, Philippine Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog, and PCG District NCR – Central Luzon to address criminality, terrorism, lawlessness, emergencies and disasters across the said region.

The 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division and Joint Task Force Katagalugan Commander Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong presided over the said meeting, which included updates on the security situation in their respective area of responsibility.
During the said meeting, the 2ID discussed the current situation within CALABARZON, which included the signing of the Joint Letter Directive on Counter White Area Operations,
which establishes cooperation among military, police, and the coastguard personnel by defining the roles and responsibilities in countering the white area operations of Communist Terrorist Groups in CALABARZON. The PNP presented updates on their support operations and the security environment and preparations for the upcoming State of the Nation Address and Barangay Sangguniang Kabataan Election CY 2023.

Meanwhile, the PCG presented maritime security updates and their efforts in support of
the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict for Coast Guard District NCR and Southern Tagalog. “This meeting and the signing of the Joint Letter Directive on Counter White Area Operations symbolizes our unwavering determination to confront these challenges head-on. Together with our partners from the security sector, we will forge ahead, united in
purpose, to ensure the safety of our fellowmen and promote development in Southern Tagalog,” said Maj. Gen. Capulong during his message.
