Balik rehas muli ang dalawang indibidwal na sangkot sa pagtutulak ng ilegal na droga, kabilang ang babaeng naaresto matapos mahuli sa isinagawang drug buy-bust operation ng San Mateo Municipal Drug Enforcement Team sa Daang Bakal Street, Brgy. Malanday, San Mateo, Rizal, ayon sa ulat ng San Mateo PNP ngayong Marso 20, 2024.
Ang mga naarestong suspek ay kinilala bilang Alyas Jess, 39-taong gulang, at Alyas Mae, 28-taong gulang, parehong residente ng San Mateo, Rizal. Natagpuan sa kanilang pagkakaaresto ang isang pakete ng hinihinalang shabu na may bigat na 1 gramo, pati na rin ang apat na pakete at dalawang nakatali na plastic na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang timbang na humigit kumulang 120 gramo, na may halagang PHP 816,000.00. Bukod dito, nakuha rin mula sa kanila ang iba pang drug paraphernalia, pouch, at buy-bust money.
Sa imbestigasyon, lumabas na hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na nahuli ang magbarkada na suspek sa parehong kaso, at ilang beses na rin silang bumalik sa piitan.
Inihahanda ng San Mateo MPS ang mga kaukulang kaso para sa paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11 ng Art II Sec. 26 ng RA 9165 o “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002” laban sa mga suspek, na kasalukuyang nakapiit sa San Mateo Custodial Facility para sa tamang disposisyon.
Pinuri ni PCOL Felipe Maraggun, Provincial Director ng Rizal Police Provincial Office, ang matagumpay na operasyon at nagpahayag ng determinasyon na ang mga kapulisan ng Rizal ay patuloy na magsisikap upang mahuli ang mga taong patuloy na nagtutulak at nagbebenta ng ilegal na droga sa probinsya.
