49 Calambeños Receive Land Titles, Bringing Homeownership Dreams to Reality

CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA — Forty-nine Calambeños have taken a major step toward secure homeownership after receiving their own land titles as part of a government housing initiative aimed at providing families with greater security and stability.

The 49 beneficiaries were among 913 Filipinos who received their respective land titles, marking what Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal described as a historic day for the families who had long faced uncertainty over their homes and land.

“Isang makasaysayang araw para sa 49 nating mga kababayan sa Calamba na kabilang sa 913 Pilipinong tumanggap ngayong araw ng kanilang sariling titulo ng lupa.”

The issuance of the titles provides the beneficiaries with greater security in their place of residence after years of renting and living with uncertainty, while giving their families a stronger foundation for the future.

The initiative was made possible through the Community Mortgage Program (CMP) of the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), led by President and CEO Federico Laxa, in partnership with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) under Secretary Atty. Jose Ramon Aliling, with the continuing support of the Calamba City Government.

“Sa pamamagitan ng Community Mortgage Program ng Social Housing Finance Corporation sa pangunguna ng kanilang President and CEO, Mr. Federico Laxa. Kasama din ang Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development sa pangunguna ni Secretary Atty. Jose Ramon Aliling, at sa patuloy na suporta ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Calamba, unti-unti nating natutupad ang pangarap na magkaroon ng sariling bahay at lupa—isang tahanan kung saan ligtas ang pamilya, lumalaki ang mga anak, at nabubuo ang mga pangarap.”

Rizal also expressed his appreciation to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the administration’s support for housing and land security initiatives.

“Maraming salamat, Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., sa inyong Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.”

For the 49 Calambeño beneficiaries, the land titles represent more than legal documents—they signify security, dignity and a permanent place they can call home.

“Bahay at lupa, seguridad at dignidad—para sa bawat pamilyang Calambeño.”
