Sa isang matagumpay na anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation na isinagawa ng Biñan PNP, isang suspek ang naaresto at nakumpiska sa kanya ang baril at droga.
Sa pamumuno ni Police Colonel Gauvin Mel Y. Unos, Acting Provincial Director ng Laguna PPO, kinilala ang suspek bilang si alyas Tukleng mula sa Biñan City, Laguna.
Base sa ulat ni PLTCOL Jonathan Robert C. Rongavilla, hepe ng Biñan Component City Police Station, ang operasyon ay isinagawa sa Brgy. Sto. Domingo, Biñan City, Laguna, noong 11:10 ng gabi noong Marso 19, 2024. Ito ay nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto kay alyas Tukleng matapos magbenta ng hinihinalang iligal na droga sa isang pulis na nagpanggap bilang poseur buyer, at kapalit nito ay ang marked money.
Nakumpiska mula sa suspek ang limang plastic sachet na may laman ng hinihinalang iligal na droga na may kabuuang timbang na 1.1 gramo, na may halagang humigit kumulang na PhP7,590.00. Kasama rin sa mga nakumpiska ang isang unit ng kalibre 38 na revolver, anim na piraso ng bala ng Cal. 38, ginamit na marked money, hinihinalang drug money na nagkakahalaga ng PhP 300.00, at isang belt bag.
Sa kasalukuyan, ang suspek ay nasa kustodiya ng Biñan Component City Police Station at nahaharap sa mga kasong paglabag sa RA 9165 o “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002” at RA 10591 o “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.”
Sa pahayag ni PCOL Unos, sinabi niya na patuloy ang operasyon ng Laguna PNP laban sa iligal na droga upang mapanatili ang kaligtasan ng lahat ng mamamayan laban sa banta ng bawal na gamot.
