Laguna PNP, sa Pangunguna ni PCOL GAUVIN MEL Y UNOS, Nakapagtala sa magkakahiwalay na Matagumpay na Anti-Illegal Drug Operations.
Sa isang malawakang operasyon laban sa iligal na droga sa Laguna, ang Provincial Director ng Laguna PNP na si PCOL GAUVIN MEL Y UNOS ay nagwagi sa pag-aresto ng walong (8) indibidwal na sangkot sa ilegal na droga noong March 28, 2024. Ang nasabing operasyon ay isang bahagi ng patuloy na kampanya laban sa droga sa lalawigan.
Ang Laguna PNP ay hindi natitinag sa kanilang layunin na labanan ang paglaganap ng ilegal na droga sa pamamagitan ng malawakang suporta mula sa komunidad at pakikipagtulungan sa Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN). Sa bawat bayan sa Laguna, ang ugnayan ng mamamayan at kapulisan ay patuloy na nagbubunga ng matagumpay na mga operasyon laban sa droga.
Ang kampanyang ito ay nagbunga ng pagkakadakip sa walong (8) drug personalities sa paglunsad ng walong (8) na operasyon. Kasama sa mga na-recover mula sa mga suspek ang humigit-kumulang na 16.05 gramo ng shabu na may kabuuang halagang PhP109,140.00. Ang mga suspek ay kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng kanilang mga operating units habang ang mga ebidensya ay inihahanda para sa pagsusuri sa Forensic Unit.
Sasampahan ng mga kaso ang 8 suspek. Ang Laguna PNP ay handa sa mga kaukulang dokumento base sa Republic Act 9165 o mas kilala bilang “Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002”. Ang hakbang na ito ay patunay sa determinasyon ng kapulisan na ipatupad ang batas at mapanatili ang katahimikan at kaayusan sa lalawigan.
Sa isang pahayag ni PCOL UNOS, ipinahayag niya na hindi papayag ang Laguna PNP na magtagumpay ang ilegal na droga sa lalawigan, lalo na sa panahon ng Semana Santa. Ito ay hindi lamang isang pangako ng seguridad kundi isang hakbang na naglalayong tiyakin ang kaligtasan at kapayapaan ngayong Semana Santa 2024.
Ang pahayag na ito ay nagpapakita ng matibay na determinasyon ng kapulisan na protektahan ang kanilang nasasakupan mula sa anumang uri ng krimen, lalo na ang illegal na droga.
