The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) CALABARZON has been honored for its significant contributions during the Tanghal at Parangal Calaca City Grand Ball 2024, held at the Calaca City Auditorium, CCGC Compound, Madalunot, Calaca City, Batangas on May 8, 2024. PSA National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Claire Dennis S. Mapa, along with PSA Regional Director Charito C. Armonia, were presented with plaques of appreciation.
The recognition was given in grateful acknowledgment of the invaluable contribution made by the PSA in promoting inclusion through the PhilSys Identification System (PhilSys) and Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) to Calaca City and its citizens. The awards were accepted by PSA Regional Director Charito C. Armonia and PSA Batangas Chief Statistical Specialist Raul Maximo B. Tolentino.
The PhilSys, a national ID system, aims to provide a valid proof of identity for all citizens and residents of the Philippines, while BRAP assists in ensuring the timely registration of births, enhancing access to essential services, and promoting the rights of every child to a legal identity.
PSA CALABARZON’s efforts have led to increased accessibility of government services, improved social protection programs, and strengthened the foundation for more inclusive development in the region.
The recognition serves as a testament to the dedication and commitment of PSA CALABARZON in fulfilling its mandate to provide quality statistical and civil registration services to the Filipino people, contributing significantly to nation-building and development.
