Base sa report ng pulisya dakong alas 8:20 ng umaga habang nakatayo sa harapan ng ginagawang establisyemento si Molina ng biglang sumulpot sa likuran nito ang suspek at agad na binaril ito.
Lumalabas sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng pulisya na may dati ng alitan sa pagitan ng biktima at ng suspek na ito ang tinitingnan na motibo ng mga awtoridad sa pamamaril.
Sa isinagawang hot pursuit police operation ni PLTCOL Angway at pagrereview sa mga CCTV ng Lucena PNP sa malapit sa lugar ng insidente nakilala ang suspek na si Jabber Namia Undak 25 anyos isang muslim na vendor sa lunsod ng Lucena tubong Cotabato City at kasalukuyang naninirahan sa may Purok Atin-atin Brgy.Marketview sa nasabing siyudad.
Patuloy pa ang isinasagawang pagtugis sa suspek upang sa posible itong madakip at nagsagawa na din ng ang Lucena PNP ng mga check point sa mga point of exit ng lunsod upang maharang ang tumakas na salarin.
