July 15, 2024 – In a meticulously coordinated operation, law enforcement agencies in Masbate City achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending an individual known as “alias Palo.” The joint effort involved personnel from the 94th Special Action Company (94SAC) and the 9th Special Action Battalion (9SAB) of the Special Action Force (SAF), working in conjunction with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the Masbate Provincial Field Unit (PFU).

Operation Details:

Target Location: Barangay Tugbo, Masbate City
Arrest Date: July 15, 2024

Background:
The suspect was taken into custody during the execution of Search Warrant No. 038-2024, which had been issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 44, 5th Judicial Region, Masbate City. The warrant specifically pertained to violations of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act (R.A. 10591).

Items Seized:
During the operation, law enforcement officers recovered the following items from the suspect:

1. Caliber .45 Pistol: The suspect was found in possession of a loaded caliber .45 pistol, complete with a magazine.
2. Ammunition: Six rounds of .45 caliber ammunition were also seized.
3. Belt Bag: Among the suspect’s belongings was a belt bag, which was taken as evidence.

Legal Proceedings:
The CIDG, Masbate PFU, assumed custody of the arrested suspect and the confiscated evidence. Proper documentation and disposition procedures are underway, ensuring that justice is served in accordance with the law.

Significance:
This successful joint operation underscores the unwavering commitment and diligent efforts of the PNP SAF and other law enforcement agencies in combatting criminal activities within the region.
