Calamba City, Laguna – Sa gitna ng mga hamon ng kalamidad at patuloy na pagbaha, dahil sa bagyong Carina, mahigit 70 pamilya mula sa, Laguna ang nabigyan ng agarang relief goods mula sa opisina ni Vice Gobernador Atty. Karen Agapay. Pinangunahan ni City Councilor Atty. Marky Oliveros ang pamamahagi ng tulong sa Rosario at Landayan Evacuation Centers, San Pedro, Laguna.
Sa kasagsagan ng pamamahagi, sinabi niya m ni Vice Governor Atty. Agapay sa kanyang FB post ang kanyang pasasalamat sa mga tauhan ng Office of the Vice Governor (OVG) na masayang nanguna sa pamamahagi ng tulong sa Siniloan at Mabitac, gayundin sa mga tumulong sa mga evacuation centers sa San Pedro. Aniya, “Appreciation post to our OVG Teams sa Siniloan at Mabitac. Likewise, sa Rosario at Landayan Evacuation Centers sa San Pedro City.”
Pinaalalahanan pa ni Agapay sila na “Inum agad ng gamot, at baka kayo naman ang magkasakit. Good job sa ating mga repackers, as well!”
Pinuri ni Atty. Agapay ang kasipagan at dedikasyon ng mga repacker na walang sawang nagtrabaho upang tiyakin na makarating ang tulong sa mga nangangailangan. Dagdag pa niya, mahalaga ang pag-inom ng gamot upang maiwasan ang anumang sakit lalo na sa panahon ng krisis.
Ang agarang agapay na ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na programa ng pamahalaan upang tugunan ang mga pangangailangan ng mga apektadong residente sa gitna ng pandemya at iba pang kalamidad. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng lokal na pamahalaan at mga boluntaryo, patuloy ang pagsisikap na magbigay ng suporta at pag-asa sa mga komunidad na labis na nangangailangan.
